COVID Policy

We will of course be obeying (and enforcing) the University’s coronavirus rules and policies.

On top of that, and out of the same caution that everybody’s been talking about for three years now, we require:

  • All on-site NarraScope attendees must be fully vaccinated.
  • All attendees must wear masks while in indoor NarraScope event spaces, except while actively eating or presenting a talk.
  • Masking rules will apply regardless of community transmission level.
  • If you feel sick or get a positive test result, stay away. We will refund attendance fees for anyone who is unable to attend.

Sadly, we will be skipping the singalong this year. Even with masks, that’s too much grody lung-air flying around the room. (We might take it outdoors if the weather is nice?)

Please remember that some people are able to attend because we have strict mask rules. If you don’t bother with your mask once you show up, they will have to leave. Don’t be a jerk about it. Thanks.

Post-Conference Report

Since the conference ended, one attendee has reported a positive COVID result. They first noticed symptoms and got a positive test result on Friday, June 16th. This person was at the conference all three days, but remained masked at all times while indoors. It is not known whether they were exposed at the conference or afterward.
